Leading UK recruiter and trainer of driving and warehousing personnel, Transline Resource, has announced the opening of a new office in Dunfermline. The satellite office, located at Pitreavie Business Park, will service the warehousing personnel needs of a major online retailer who recently awarded Transline Resource preferred supplier status for Dunfermline and two other sites in Thurrock and Doncaster.

The Dunfermline office will be staffed by a Senior Account Manager, a Senior Branch Consultant and an On-site Consultant but full time staff numbers are expected to swell as the contract reaches an eventual peak of 450 plus temporary staff a day. The new office will become the fourth office in Transline Resource’s Scottish network which includes offices at Mossend, Harthill and Cumbernauld.

It will become the 38th office in its UK wide network which stretches from Dunfermline in the North to Ashford, Kent in the South supplying upwards of 5000 driving and warehousing staff a day to major household name retailers and distributors. Over 1000 will be supplied by its Scottish division and that is expected to grow further as the company looks to expand in the region.

"The opening of our Dunfermline office illustrates our continued growth and commitment to Scottish expansion," says Transline Resource Managing Director Paul Beasley. "Located near the M90 and the Forth Road Bridge, Dunfermline is a hotbed for Scottish logistics. Its healthy labour and commercial markets make it the perfect place to recruit for our client as well as offering opportunities for new business and future expansion.”

Senior Account Manager Chris Birkby, who will oversee the company’s aggressive recruitment drive, says: “Working closely with Jobcentre Plus and local welfare for work providers we’ve begun the recruitment process and are looking for suitable candidates. Pre-screening will begin next week and whilst it is meticulous it is also focussed on training and career progression.”

“We’ve been set a deadline of the 1st September for placing over 450 staff and early signs are good due to the excellent labour market in the area. We will be recruiting continually over the next few months so we’re advising interested parties to come and see us for an interview.”

Group Operations Director Mark Elms, who will oversee the contract, adds: “The on-site team we’ve installed at Dunfermline is excellent. Under Chris’s expert guidance I’m confident it will select the right candidates, train them up and place them in positions where they can develop their skills and exceed the performance levels required by the client.”
