TRANSLINE RESOURCE WINS MAJOR NEW DRIVER RECRUITMENT CONTRACT WITH DHL IN SCOTLAND
Transline Resource, the leading supply chain recruitment firm, announced today that DHL, the global logistics giant has awarded the company a major sole-supplier Class 1 and Class 2 driving contract for Sainsbury’s in East Kilbride, Scotland. The contract will begin in earnest on the 19th Sept with a driver requirement of 40 to 55 drivers a day rising to 140 at peak.
The company was invited by DHL to tender for the contract six weeks ago and was awarded the contract due to the excellent structure it has in place for dealing with new AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) legislation set to begin on 1st Oct, as well as its presence at 4 other Sainsbury’s sites throughout the UK.
Speaking of the news, Transline Resource National Contracts Manager Robin Wilson said: “For a number of years we’ve been enhancing our reputation in Scotland and are committed to growth in the region. This latest announcement is a major step towards that and we’re looking forward to working closely with DHL to make the contract a success.”

Transline Resource has already set in motion a 4-week implementation plan having begun the recruitment, training and assessment of drivers over a week ago. The East Kilbride office will be staffed by a Senior Account Manager, a Senior Branch Consultant and an On-site Consultant but full time staff numbers are expected to swell as the contract reaches its peak. The new office will become the fifth office in Transline Resource’s Scottish network which includes offices at Mossend, Harthill, Cumbernauld and Dunfermline.
It will become the 39th office in its UK-wide network which stretches from Dunfermline in the North to Ashford, Kent in the South supplying upwards of 5000 driving and warehousing staff a day to major household name retailers and distributors. Over 1200 will be supplied by its Scottish division and that is expected to grow further as the company looks to expand in the region.
"This news comes just weeks after the opening of another major Transline Resource office in Dunfermline," says Transline Resource Managing Director Paul Beasley. "It’s a very good time for the company in Scotland and we look forward to continuing our growth from this very solid base.”
